Irridescent Manna

It becomes apparent

as I flail along

That the path is clear

and marked with crumbs

of irridescent manna

Funny how I chose

to wade through sticker bushes, instead

all those years

Astute Toot

“Most astute!”

I heard him toot

about something I’d said

“How could that be?”

occurred to me

in the ethers of my head

Not so quiet

thoughts did riot

just demanding to be fed

Awakened Samskara

When Samskara woke

she discovered all illness

had faded away

The clarity of gratitude

engulfed all sadness

And shimmered it away

to sparkled shadows

Shores of Consciousness

A rising tide of awareness

has engulfed the shores

of our consciousness

Awakening

whetting our appetite

for world peace

and love and joyousness

Clouds

There on a bed of pine needles

we would gaze at the clouds

Ants crawling over bare toes

and dusty jean pockets full

of found treasures

“Look! Do you see the elephant?”

“You mean the one dancing on the big castle?”

We dreamed and visualized

the afternoon away

As squirrel and rabbit and deer

quietly witnessed

passing by on their way home

Engaged

Singular singer

singing songs of life

And breath and depth

and beauty

Fully engaged in his art

his craft and his passion

Dance of Life

They all got up and danced

as if joy burst forth

A spontaneous emission

in a silly choreography

on an elaborate movie set

Still my heart leapt up

with laughter’s response

And my love for life and you

was renewed in the sharing

Beginning a New Day

On a late summer’s morn

nights crisp still clinging

soft like netting

Lazy birds whisper thoughts

murmuring phrases know and unknown

You standing there

hands on hips

And intent written with chisels

on a face of stone

Bare toes caressing soft earth

energizing resolve

New Crop

Inspired creative thoughts
planted in the rich soil
of his mind

Grew exponentially
to the length of time
it had remained fallow

A whole new crop
a new garden
burst into bloom…
