Five Short Minutes
How much can be done
in five short minutes?
A poem, a song, a sketch,
a dance, conception
A birth, break something, fix something
love, live, die…
Every moment is an eternity
Living in the moment
is living now
Honoring
Oh, the honoring!
to have a concert of your own
Held up high by friends and supporters
fans and admirers
Ah, such glory!
Every individual
should experience such an honoring
in their own way
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Steady Heartbeat
There’s a mystery
surrounding the question
Of its origin, its destination
And so, she sat
with the what if’s
until her head was spinning
Yet always her heartbeat was steady
The Story Goes
The story goes
that in the beginning
we have all the love we need
And, in actuality, we always
have all the love we need
For, we ARE Love…
Pearl of Wisdom
What beauty lies within today’s challenges?
What soul wisdom?
A pearl of wisdom
Is truly borne
From a gritty seed of challenge
Beautified by our attention
As we wrap ourselves around it
New Treasure
Each day, I discover
a new treasure
Some sparkly tidbit
that adds to the richness
of my understanding
and experience of life
Each little bit of time, I remember
what new treasure
each moment presents
For each new piece of gold
is forged from the old
stuff of life
and it shines brightly
like diamond studded spirit light
Part Of
One day,
Frog discovered
As he was more willing
To open to others
The “ribbit” concerts
Grew more beautiful
And he felt fuller
And more part of…
Glorious Sound
There, in that echo-y room
amidst steamy mists
and freshened skin
There is a glorious sound
full heart, full voice
Spontaneous celebration of Life
bursts through dammed up feelings
Infuses the brand new day
in joyous harmony with the Universe
Happy Day!
Thrill of Knowing
So, it’s all alive
juicy, energetic, expressive
Every atom, every bug,
every four-legged, my cousins
the planet, Auntie Moon, the galaxy…
Can you feel the thrill of that knowing
in your spine?
Hello Hawk
Hawk ducked under
the low trees in the backyard
to do a little dance
and say hello
Ruffle the feathers, turn around
shake the tail, bow and dip
stare for a bit and turn again
Hawk says “hi’
then soars again
