Vision of Wild

Twisting and straddling endless ruts
on tiny forgotten dirt roads
for miles and miles and miles
It was easy to believe
that civilization would
never be found again
Then upon a distinguished turning
into a narrow valley green
with sky so close it could be touched
and a meadow so green it almost hurt
Thereupon, a pounding, rollicking herd
of ghostly mustangs flew across
A vision of wild, taking breath with them

Greatness

From whence the oak?
the bitter acorn
Ah, yes, that is so
From what bitter seed
did your greatness arise?
There is so much
to be grateful for…

Moment’s End

There is a time
right there
At the end of the moment
which is full of question
Open to the possibilities of next,
no matter what flavor the expectancy

Peace

Two words must be relinquished
to know peace
“If only…”
I accept what is
I am joyous now

Savoring

Savor the juicy tomato moments
And the memory of such savorosity
It tickles the parched palate
of more sparse times
We have been savoring the moments around Marshal’s big birthday. Now, we are back into the regular routine.
Brazen Freedom

Brazen Freedom

Is there any true freedom that is not brazen somehow?

So, I’m still painting and preparing for the RAW artists show which is this Wednesday. This is a sneak peak at one new piece completed for that show this week. Those attending the show will be the first to see the painting in it’s entirety. A world premiere as it were. I’m going to be giving away some prizes to attendees too. Just trying something different.

Secret Beauty

There must be thirty-three ways
or more (way more)
to discover the secret beauty
in just this moment

The underlying factor
that connects to once and future
and everything in between

I intend with curly happy lip
to find everyone of them
And, then, start making up new ones

Habits

Establish a habit – 30 days
Re-establish a habit – 30 days
(No wonder most months have 30 days)
Begin
Again
and again
Over
and over again
with the tenacity of bulldog

Stuck in beginner’s mind
intending habit
