Sacred Wheel
Fruit flies are the vultures
of the insect world
keeping the cycle turning
Every part of the wheel
is sacred…
Figuring It Out
Once upon a time
I thought that I had to
figure everything out
and understand it
Now, I know that I know
without all the fancy words
I am…
No Limitations
The inch worm has
its advantages in life
He knows how far
he can stretch each step
We, however, have
no such limitations
Point of Power
The point of light
that spark resting
between your eyebrows
Sheds understanding
like water off a duck’s back
given any room to shake
The point is…
NOW
I AM
(the Point of Power that is)
God’s Jewel
A crystal
clear and whole
Contains a simple beauty
a microcosmic piece
of all that is, a jewel of God
And, so do you…
Hearts Aligned
When we raise our voices together
in harmoniousness
or some facsimile thereof
making joyousness, we align hearts
When we all face North
(or East or South or West)
Moving together as one
In a line dance of longing
and gratitude, calling the Divine
we align our spiritual focus
When we sit together in silence
open receptacles ready and waiting
synergistic energy arises
as we align body, mind, and soul
Rocky
Bouncy, even almost bumbly
the mass of his body jiggly
as he ran on his little hand paws
across the city street
Attempting, unsuccessfully
to look like a common housecat
The night thief scumbled
in the busy-ness of daylight
That disguise is a bit “rocky”
Yet, I didn’t turn him in
That friendly neighbor
never did me any harm
What is Bravery?
With butterflies inside
heart up in the throat
She climbed up 4 stories
on steep, slippery shakes
Shaking in her tennis
quaking in her resolve
Still, she stayed to close up
the peak – the very top
Birds singing all the while
soft breezes blowing in a storm
She Changes Everything…
“She changes everything touches…
and everything She touches changes…”
and everything She touches changes…”
Scurrying like a rabbit
up through fairy-lit mountain passes
rain and wind and trees dancing
The rainbow got more brilliant
with attention doubled
interacting traveling, too
And, as an exclamation point
lightening struck right through
the middle of the colors
—————————— ————–
In a circle of friends, wild hair flying
arms entwined as they communed
their voices rang out
A cacophony in unison
and the world shifted
in the blink of a miracle
Turning Your Wait
A Child’s Lesson in four directions
(Who wants to just stanza?)
Twirly-queue wandering
from here to there and back again
Ballerinas on point
and clowns with noses
whirling and running around
willy-nilly, according to their own discipline
Everyone waiting for logic to set in
common sense to take control
meanwhile, the winds of change
keep blowing–flipping circumstances
And the landscape surprises
at most every turn
