In the cave
hidden on the cliffside
Rockfall and rubble
bushes and grasses all around
In that silent solitary place
near the river of my life
I sat in communication
with the bugs and animals
And became more connected
with the earth in the walls
and through the rock on which I sat
silently in peace…
As the nights grow longer
And the days shorter
The feeling of peace
Grows in the heart
Borne of cuddly warm
And joyous celebrations
Of Love’s light
The path meandered
around this fountain
up over the footbridge
down by the huge oak
in the valley
He was always taking shortcuts
getting caught in the brambles
slipping on the rocky slope
One day, he just stuck to the path
Ah, what a peaceful experience…
In the wheel on the earth
midst the path of our own lives
A new song of praise
rose from your heart
Shared and released
for humans and other creatures
above, below, and afar
We held hands and prayed
for peace, for love
for balance everywhere
And we welcomed
the rising sun on a new day
