Else, ever seeking without end
ever gathering things of men
ever groping in darkness then
Should I not awaken
from slumber’s dream
release the illusion
of what life seems
…So, I step out on faith
with love-filled heart, I lift my eyes
enter the peace with silent sighs
of blessed grace
From whence, inspiration?
Breathe in and open with prayer
Breathe out and out it flows

Every part of creation
breathes and bathes and is
part of creation
Blessed by the presence of Divine
unmistakably filled,
surrounded by grace
On the cusp of new understanding
In the heart of epiphany
I felt the pinch of sidelong glances
Judgment’s governess askance
Like the pressure of birth
Squeezing my lungs alive
Revelation’s glory comes
Screaming life in to the room
And grace portends
Another gift unto this world
In the middle of the street
cars whizzing by
yet none rolling over
a single feather
attempting to take off
over and over again
with fickle breezes
Buzzards forfeit
grounded like road kill
waving at me
as I walked by
How can you fill up with any more joy than immersed in the birth of twins? I don’t think there can be hardly any experiences much more joyous than that. Faith and Grace were born on Wednesday this week. I was honored to be there, of support, and able to witness their first moments on this earth outside the womb. At this point there are not a lot of words that approach the intensity and the presence of the eternity of those moments. I only wish to declare my awe in humble gratitude for the immense miracle of life.
