Greeness

Greeness

Lush verdant greens fill the senses
healing hearts, soothing sight
velvet moss and delicate fern
in silence listen to water’s fall
wearing away world weariness
plummeting babble
massaging the soul
awakening now the quiet depths
within

Walking

The walkers walked
in the crisp of morning
birds barely awake
hush of night lingering
exhilarated
awakening

On bright windy days
cats hiding out
ruffled fur hunkering
stirred
exciting

In the warm caress of evening
dogs on their leashes
busy days settling
consoled
relaxing

Under moon and stars
owls silent in flight
the world is sleeping
hushed
dreaming

The field

“Out beyond ideas of right and
wrong — there is a field…”
———————————————
in the field of infinite possibilities
where probable sprouts
and flourishes
nourished by sun and rain
wind and worm
the deer danced
as we sang our visions
our truth
our life
———————————————
“I’ll meet you there.”

Supplemental images

the wavering sparkle
of intricate web wet with dew
the lazy flight of nits
and bugs in the warm light
cascades of shades of green
cooling my experience
the ooze of wet dirt
between the planted toes
There is delight in the garden
with the bonus of vegetables

Tree

“Leaf it to me,” he cried,
with outstretched branches
face aloft, eyes closed
braced for vigorous showers

Green
rich, palpable, shimmering
deep spring green
everywhere
feeds the eyes
awakens the soul
energizes, heals
