Roots

My roots are deep
my body connected to the earth
deeper and deeper all the time
My heartbeat a reflection
of Mother’s steady rhythm
My spirit is one with all
infused with all the stuff
of the Universe, of Creation
My spark of epiphany
inspired by His creativity
And my heart encompasses all life
surrounded with Love

Song of Light

There was a sound
the song of men
that rose up
those many years ago
And he led them
into darkness and back out again
Riding on the light
A wave of light, of song
Come, come celebrate life
in joyousness
in song

Circle Dance

We all join hands
in the circle dance
called Life

Interlaced and interfaced
each playing our part
——————————————

Here, Now, let us recognize
we need each other —
each part of the One creation
—————————————–
I honor you, my sister, brother
I am grateful for your presence
I give thanks for the Presence
for the gift of life

The Wheel

The wheel goes round and round
simply ever spinning

Yet where it touches with friction
the outside world

It causes the cart
to move along the path

Hollow Log

The hollow log
was home to many
and the breezes blew through
That dead old tree
gives life and sustenance
to the earth on the floor
of the living forest
Bugs and squirrels
burrowing or scurrying
winged or crawly
