Hallowed eyes
grasp me in their grip
telling stories of an old
crisp and dusty nature
Awakening feelings
stale in flesh
and bright in Spirit
Keep me ever in that gaze
Let the shackles slip away
crusted build up soften
And new day dawn
around me
within me…
Every morning
May you be showered
With delicate petals
Of Love’s sweet remembrance
For truly shown
And never spent
That flowering bush
Ever grows in my heart
Lumbering bear
was slumbering not long ago
Sticks sensitive snout
in hidden places
Searching out early food
meanders past nonchalant
respectful disinterest
Scruffy fur begging to be touched
grumbly growly intensity says not
Imagine hugging, heck, riding
aware of muscle and sinew beneath fat and fur
Bear blessing
Thank you, brother…
I dreamed I was giving birth
this ancient body fecund
With possibilities and galaxies
endless in their beauty
And here in this instant
stars and moons
lovely planets escaped my womb
And the cry of infinite life
pierced the wind-screaming
A call of blessing
It’s so easy to count the blessings
of having you in my life
When I consider
a lifetime of days
As strings of baubles
jewels lined up
Sparkling with the light
of love and appreciation
Thank you…
