Spring sprang
into summer this year
without a hitch

bolted after late rains

Several times
each and every day
Gratitude rises up
in my chest
like stop-motion flowers
bursting open
In full appreciation
of Life
Caterpillar
One leg up on
the rest of the crew
Caterpillar loved
that he was he
and not some silly bug
with only six legs
Shower of Love
In the shower of love
my pores soak it up
All the extra stuff
soiled or shadow
sticky or too sweet
sloughs off
And I am left standing
whole and complete
In Spirit’s house
I shower every day
