We all join hands
in the circle dance
called Life
Interlaced and interfaced
each playing our part
——————————————
Here, Now, let us recognize
we need each other —
each part of the One creation
—————————————–
I honor you, my sister, brother
I am grateful for your presence
I give thanks for the Presence
for the gift of life
circle of life ever turning
seasons turn
my heart ever yearning
seeking truth
in beauty and balance
on the cusp of the wheel
gratitude fills me up
overflowing with abundance
the bounty of harvest
the gift of life
An old friend from long ago
you just showed up on my doorstep
With a smile and a hug
and all the spunk and verve
you always had
As it it were just yesterday
that I saw you last
My heart didn’t know the difference
though my eyes perceived the truth
of a lifetime spent living fully
a vibrant spirit expressing
Welcome back into my life, friend…
There is a fence
‘tween ours and theirs
built long ago by humans
And each side has grown
in its own way
as if separate
In fact, we live
on common ground
and sky above is One
No matter how we perceive things
or build fences
in our minds
Near the oak on the hillside
on the bench I found up there
I sit to watch the sunrise
as breezes curl my hair
The darkest before dawn
and stillness touched by steps
as I journeyed up the hill
Now the birds and I wait
a lifetime in anticipation
Deep blue to purple, pink to pale blue
and the brightness of the sun
awakens the thrill of another day…
