Ivy
He grew like ivy
wild and tenacious
Ever seeking the way
over or around
the fences of his life
Ever popping up anew
in barren spots
and even those occupied by others
With fresh new tendrils
of growth and creativity
He grew like ivy
wild and tenacious
Ever seeking the way
over or around
the fences of his life
Ever popping up anew
in barren spots
and even those occupied by others
With fresh new tendrils
of growth and creativity
Lopsided dreams
on tippy toe thoughts
Riding the waves
of mingled presences
Once believed
to have built skyscrapers
on hillsides green
Under purple dawn skies
hiding fluffy whites

Let it flow today…
Once more
once again
one more time
He centered in Spirit
and moved on..
Let’s eat peaches ripe
in the sunshine bright
Sweet juice down the chin
manna for the tastebuds
Flavor curls around
the tongue and cheeks
Down to the rough pit
and bits clinging to it
Sticky faces raised
to warmth and light
Give thanks from every cell
every part of us
