All Hallows

Calling in our ancestors
awakening the connection

Asking for their blessing
as we honor them
with ceremony, celebration
and food from last harvest

====================

The veil is thin as we pray
betwixt only faintly disguised

Let us put out soul cakes
as we pray for all those
who walked before us

Meandering Butterfly

A shadowed pattern
Of circles and dots
Some intertwined, others solo

Played across the toes
connecting them to
the earth below

As the sun skittered
Across the sky
Ever brilliant in countenance

Butterfly or moth
Flittery fluttery meanderer
Lights softly for a moment
On otherwise plain foot

Give It to Me Straight

Sometimes, sideways
Is the straightest path

What feels like off the beam
Is merely a tweaking
To get more on track

And then there’s the crab
Walking sideways is straight
Answers lurk in the angle

=======================
More important than warp or weft
Is the fabric quality

No thread’s path is absolutely straight

Brilliant Tree

Like a flame
the yellow tree stood
showing off brilliantly
ever mindful of her job
to be a beacon of light
where planted

Alchemical Soup

Mesmerized by belief
yet flying on fledgling wings
in alchemist’s soup

The Truth – the Light shone forth
in brilliant anticipation
of faithful flight

Propped by miracles
life’s appearance magical

Then every moment
unfolds with great aplomb
Or not…
