Dancing Bug
Little bug was so pleased
with soulful eclectic funk
he had discovered in himself
while preparing for the day
that he practically
danced right on past his destination
before he realized it…
Little bug was so pleased
with soulful eclectic funk
he had discovered in himself
while preparing for the day
that he practically
danced right on past his destination
before he realized it…
Caterpillar tiptoed
careful not to put
more than one toe at a time
in the sludge
Nose in the air aloof
beefing up her arguments
“I’ll be leafing soon,”
she said to the wind
When, in fact, she knew
she’d best get on with it…
On the road of happy destiny
wearing joy faces with pizzazz
our hearts are intertwined
in sentiment’s design
Whether we march or skip or leap
makes naught a difference
for the eloquent camaraderie
a snappy rhythm keeps
Intended by a promise
to keep each other’s company
It’s so much fun going there
and traveling home again…
Either a halo
or white hot wild fire
Hair flutters on unknown breezes
as he traverses the inner circle
winding up the altar of Life’s gifts
Passionate eyes ablaze with beauty
like shooting stars
riding on zephyrs of harmony
He is a vision of Shiva dancing
arms akimbo in directive gestures
grounding with each footfall
in gratitude for the Earth
He weaves the web of Live with voices
The song, Oh, the song of infinite Love
Such sweetness fierce
cracks open the heart with tears of delight
Little squirrel sat
on the branch
eyes squoze shut
“I DO believe I can,”
he repeated the mantra
over and over
as he contemplated
that next big leap
