Rush of Spirit
Miles and miles
hours and hours
bumping along dusty dirt roads
When we came upon
lush meadow vast and green
And suddenly a-pounding
a rush of Spirit
There came a huge herd
Manes dancing
tails flying
as they took our breath away
Miles and miles
hours and hours
bumping along dusty dirt roads
When we came upon
lush meadow vast and green
And suddenly a-pounding
a rush of Spirit
There came a huge herd
Manes dancing
tails flying
as they took our breath away
Stomping on the earth
bare toes hugging clods
Vibrations vibrating
giving massage to the loving
big and beautiful mother Earth
Arms raised toward clouds
as they flitter by —
Becoming a lightening rod of love
connecting above and below
Floating on this planet
in the midst of all creation
On the fence
the cat surveyed
both sides
seeking something interesting
When little bird swooped
and tickled her ears
Suddenly
she focused on Up…
Upon the end of winter’s nod and blink
buds of purple, plum and pink
appeared and opened to share fragrance
Sweet enough to match the beauty
more intense than one would think
Like lotus floating in the air
tulip blossoms suddenly there
On the tree that sat with knobby twig
through winter’s short days
cold, rain, or fair
Spring awaits no clock or human
just blossoms forth when it can
Bear stood staunch and stoic
anchored like a boulder
midstream at the top of rushing minor waterfall
leaning into all the river pushing against her
massaging her backside
She waited
with absolute faith
knowingness
and joyous anticipation
until glittering salmon
jumped into her paws and mouth
(No mental gyrations about self-worth and deservedness here…)
