His Spirit’s Glory
He finally came to accept
all of who he was…
And in that acceptance
came to realize
the glory of his Spirit
—————————-
At the same time
he resided in the lodge of his heart
for the full season
Many blessings befell him
He finally came to accept
all of who he was…
And in that acceptance
came to realize
the glory of his Spirit
—————————-
At the same time
he resided in the lodge of his heart
for the full season
Many blessings befell him
Or in a drop of moisture
dangled from a tiny hair
A constellation so miniscule
we’re not aware it’s there
It’s way out or way in or both
where Love reigns and fills the air
The very breath of life inspires
everyone who is there
And it’s all different
and so much the same
“There is a moment, a chip in time
When leaving home is the lesser crime
When your eyes are blind with tears, but your heart can see
Another life, another galaxy“–Paul Simon
A moment in the garden
with toes exploring rich earth
face caressed by sun and breezes
Pop a tomato in the mouth
so flavor seeps juicy into cells
—————————-
It starts in preparation
seeding, planting, tending
And just as you and I
care tenderly for us and each other
The daily rituals of conscious attention
So, too, the garden comes to bear fruit
and nurturing peace…
Leafy cartoon figures
bobbled and shivered
in a dramatic scene of green
As little squirrel leapt
with flourish and style
to the next small leaf strewn branch
Off on his hourly constitutional
—————————–
I, on the other hand
merely observe the circus act
from the comfort of warm and cozy
The heady essence of tea
awakening some other senses
A soft comfort
for a thrilled heart
The dream of full expression
fulfilled with success
A moment’s glory
a reason for gratitude
—————————-
Every time the heart blooms
another sprout comes to fruition
Spirit celebrates
by infusing new with joy
