Laughing
Full-body engaged
Tears trickling
In a little stream
Over pinkened cheeks
His joyous outburst
Overcame his countenance
And seeped into his bones
As heightened assurance
That Spirit had a sense of humor

The heart with wings
soars at the rise of joy
Flutters softly
at the instance of fear
and excitement

the butterfly of metamorphosis

Wizard of Love
The wizardry of love
Heals the sadness of heart
Balms the painful spots
Of life’s machinations

he stood on the precipice
arms akimbo
the wildness of his eyes
like electricity
through his hair
Alive! With love’s fire…!
Growing Thought
One itsy bitsy
teeny weeny
little bitty thought
Doesn’t change much
‘til it grows up
Or catches onto
the bootstrap
of some powerful emotion
then WATCH OUT!!!
Ever Grateful
Sky growled gray
Spat like a cat cornered
Wind blustered and agitated
Shook ideas to bone
And behind
All the falderal
The sun shone gaily
Ever grateful
Ever warm
Ever light
Such is God’s love for us
Celebrate
One more day
Singing in the morning
Awakening to the joy
Before the rest of the day unfolds
It tints everything
A rosy warm
Even when it’s cloudy
Life is a celebration!
