Celluloid veil

protects me from success

I can see it

yet not taste it

I am grateful today

that the veil

tears so easily

There’s a caravan

of simple travelers

of one mind

Hauling their baggage

on their backs

in an almost effortless way

Headed together

on a happy road…

The ants go marching…

I’ll go with you anywhere

The rooster crowed – a joyous ditty

“Awaken, awaken to Spirit,

shining on us all!”

In my heart

I crow throughout the day

a similar chant

“Thank you,

thank you for life—

the wonderful gift of life!”

So many ways

I creep past my windows

Skating past the light

as it streams in

Yet there inside

it shines ever brightly

There in the center

of my soul

What if it were

only 12 days or 12 nanoseconds

to full enlightenment?

What if you knew that?
