Honoring the Sacred Feminine

I’m working on a painting honoring women throughout history, now, and in the future. More on that at a later date as it evolves. In the meantime, as I was praying into/onto the canvas, this  song that I wrote a number of years ago, came to the forefront. I started singing it as my prayers, and continued through several layers of paint. 

We have sung it with instruments and multiple voices with Soul’s Journey in the past, but I am choosing to present here the original acapella solo version when I first wrote it. I love singing it with various women’s groups which I have been part of. It’s called Mother, Mother.
